Taj Mahal

Our little Yellow Friend is going to visit India, at the Taj Mahal next! 

He was able to join a school group for the day to check out this beautiful building in India.

Ireland Last Day

Alas, today is my last day in beautiful Ireland. I wish I could have stayed a little longer! I'm heading to India!

Ireland Parade 2

Because of time zones, Quackers was still watching the Ireland St. Patrick's Day Parade!

I was told that it was very interesting seeing all the locals come out for the day. It could be compared to how we react to Mardi Gras! 

I can't say that is true or not seeing that I've never been down south during Mardi Gras nor have I ever been in Ireland for a St Patrick's Day parade!

Quackers enjoyed this year's parade, and thoroughly enjoyed seeing his cousin in the parade! The kids said it looked a LOT like Alyssa, maybe it's one of Alyssa's cousins?

Castle in Ireland

Ireland, Day 2
Today, Quackers went exploring and found a castle! If the US continues to be cold, he might just stay there! Though, I wouldn't recommend staying there for long, I heard castles were pretty drafty.

Ireland 1

Happy St Patricks Day!
Quackers hopped over to Ireland with a pair of festive glasses (which he 'left' in the classroom for me!) and played a game of 'Where am I?' with the kids!
This was a fantastic 30 second lesson for St Patricks Day because the kids had no idea where Ireland was!
Hope the leprechauns left you a present!

Leaving Florida

Winnie the Pooh (and a ducky too!)

It's Winnie the Pooh and a duckling too!

I just happened to look up the original print date of Winnie the Pooh and it was 89 years ago that he was first brought into our lives... in 1926! That means by the time I have kids, he will be 100 years old!
Since we're in CT, it's rather nice to get a few pictures with the blue sky and green grass! I'm starting to wonder if they're ever going to come back!

Florida Beach

 

Quackers sure loves the camera! 

Don't worry, he wore sunblock! A few relatives of a friend took Quackers to the beach! It was a beautiful day in Florida... it was absolutely terrible looking at these pictures knowing that snow was on its way up here in Connecticut!

Lizards in Florida!

Oh dear! It looks like our friend Carl the duck and Chronic the Chinese Water Dragon are not getting along again! I suppose Quackers and Alyssa may have to cut their visit short in this part of Florida. (Don't worry, no ducks were harmed during this project!)

Butterflies and Gardens

Alyssa the duck has been on a few adventures with Quackers! Down in Florida, Alyssa checked out a Garden, and visited the butterflies!
A few of the students are staring to worry asking "Where is Quackers?" and "Why isn't he in the pictures?"

Meeting the DUCK himself!

Look who we got to meet this week! We were able to meet the big duck himself, Donald Duck!

I have quite a few friends traveling around the country at this time, and I am fortunate to have a few helping hands in Florida! Stay tuned for the rest of the ducky adventures, you never know where he's going to end up!

This beauty was sent in from a friend who was visiting Florida, the last few were from a friend who is living in Florida, how lucky are we to have these people sending in these fantastic adventure pictures!

Universal Studios

He's off to Universal! I wonder if any of my ducklings have been here yet? I was when I was very young... maybe Quackers will see the same things I had!

MGM

Quackers has made it to Florida! He's staying with a friend, and she's taking him to all of the sights, and of course to Disney World! Today's first stop... MGM!

Airport

The first of the electronic postcards have arrived! Today's arrived late in the day from cousin A. McKeeber (character from a favorite book) and it says:

"Dear Quackers,
I'm here at the airport! I'll see you tonight!

A. McKeeper."

First stop... Florida!
